Adult
Discipleship Includes Education
and Faith Formation for All Ages
Fairfield
is a community that loves to learn, explore and discuss what it
means to live the Christian life. We take seriously our commitment
to spiritual and personal Christian maturity, and we come together
to help each other grow in love and faith.
Because we believe that becoming a Christian is a life-long
process, we offer a wide variety of learning and faith-sharing
opportunities for all ages. In the adult offerings listed
here, you will find information about Sunday School classes for
children and adults, small group studies, prayer groups,
support groups, and special seminars.
Each
fall, the members of the congregation are each invited to take
part in one of several small groups, using materials that
will accompany a sermon series. For 2009, the focus is
on the Book of Revelation, designed for new believers as
well as mature believers craving a deeper understanding of the
faith expressed in Revelation that God will "win"
in the end. It was written to encourage early Christians
that, even in the midst of calamity and persecution, God will
not abandon us. Small groups will allow members to read,
study, pray, and get to know one another as they delve into the
study.
All are welcome. Wherever you are on your journey of faith,
Fairfield welcomes you and will help you go deeper.

Presbyterian Women
The Presbyterian Women (PW) of Fairfield have
devoted their time and talents to serving God in a variety of
ways. They are involved in virtually every aspect of the life of
our church. Their
activities range from working with children, visiting the sick,
teaching, organizing events, contributing inspirational music,
prayer, and reached out in service which includes Mechanicsville
and reaches far beyond our local sphere.
The PW Circles gather each month for Bible
study, fellowship, and to work for the betterment of our community
through various project of each circle and for PW as a whole.
2005 Co-moderators Janice Bailey and Beverly Burts oversee
the coordination of the circles and hope to reach out for this
ministry to lift up all women.
All women are encouraged to participate in a

Super Singles
Fairfield's Super Singles are a group of single
adults who meet once a month for Sunday lunch.
We meet on the second Sunday of the month for food, fun, and
fellowship. This group
welcomes anyone who is single - never married, divorced, or widowed.
We usually go to a different restaurant each month, so please
check the newsletter and the bulletin for the meeting time and
place. If you are
single, we’d love it if you’d join us!
