ABOUT US
I
Fairfield
Presbyterian Church has many opportunities to grow in faith, to
find Christian friendship, and to follow Christ in our daily walk.
Our ministries aim to support individuals and growing
families, providing youth fellowship and children’s ministries,
with plenty of ways to develop our personal walk with Christ.
We
hold monthly fellowship times,
which usually involve food!!
And we enjoy study groups for prayer and Bible study,
nurturing one another in our daily walk.
Our
music program
includes adult, youth and childrens’ choirs, a praise band, and
two handbell choirs. We
enjoy liturgical dance and drama in our worship, too.
While
worship is the heart of our life together, prayer is the heart of
worship.
Attend
our 9 o’clock contemporary or the 11 o’clock traditional
service, with a Sunday
school for all ages, held at 10 o’clock.
The
mission outreach
of Fairfield is local and international.
Locally we furnish and serve lunch monthly through Richmond
Friends of the Homeless, make monthly contributions to the MCEF (Mechanicsville Church Emergency
Functions)
food pantry, serve as reading tutors in an area public school,
host CARITAS, and provide food and gifts at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Outside of our community we
support missionaries in Jordan and India and other PC(USA)
missions throughout the world.
Work
teams go to Mexico, locations in Virginia and other areas in need.
These trips are often life-changing experiences for our
participants and also serve to spread
care and love to places of great need.
