"Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the
kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it."
Jesus lifts up
children as our mentors in the life of faith. Children have significant
experiences
of
God and have much to teach us with their prophetic voices.
In our ministry to and with children, Fairfield embraces
this truth. We listen to our children so that we might learn
from them and support their deepening life with God.
Children have a ministry to us, their older brothers and
sisters in the church.
Meeting Sunday afternoons, the Joy Choir ministry for children
ages 3 through 5th grade, helps them exercise their ministry
and give their gifts in music and puppets, chimes and drama,
as well as dance. Fairfield's people nurture
children's gifts and encourage their experience of God and
community through worship, Kids Worship, Sunday School, and
throughout the church's life.

Joy Choir Program
Children at Fairfield, ages 3 through 5th
grade, are welcomed to an exciting, vibrant program, which meets
Sundays from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Leaders Robbie Dobson and
Donna Horn have expanded this program over the past few years to
one that includes music, drama, games and crafts. Many
dedicated people are involved in making this ministry a
superb one for kids!
What do the kids do?! They sing songs with festivity and
fun, become puppeteers, play chimes, and dance for worship, for
starters. Part of their time is given to doing crafts,
playing games, reading or acting out bible stories and having
fellowship together.
From the youngest to the oldest, the three groupings of Joy Choir
kids continue to minister to others through making cards or other
creations, by singing at worship services, and by showing care and
service for the wider church community.
If you're interested in your child's participation in this
exciting program, please talk to the pastors or call Robbie
(559-0275) or Donna (781-0351).
